Middle States Self-Study Report Available

As you may know, the college has been undergoing a self-study process as part of its re-accreditation that will culminate in a visit to campus by a team of reviewers representing the Middle States Commission on Higher Education on March 2-5. During this visit, the team will be meeting with various groups, including students, faculty, and staff.

Part of the self-study process was to produce a report that examined how well the college met Middle States’ “Characteristics of Excellence in Higher Education.” These cover such areas as institutional resources, leadership and governance, assessment, educational offerings, and student support services, to name just a few. About 140 people, including some students, worked on this project to answer these research questions and to write a report that describes what they found.

You will find a copy of the report here and will need to login to access it.  We hope that you have time to have a look at some or all of the body of the report (the first 100 pages).
If you have any comments or questions, please e-mail middlestates@hvcc.edu.  Thank you!
